Keeping your data secure

Ensuring your client data is safe & secure

There are many steps that have been taken to keep all the information you store with Therapy Companion secure.

Here's a simple explanation of how that happens.

Data transfer between you and Therapy Companion

When you look at the website address of our application website, you will see it is https://app.therapycompanion.com.

The "s" in https refers to the fact that we are transmitting the data to you securely, in an encrypted fashion, and a third party has verified that you are indeed interacting with the authentic Therapy Companion website.

Storing all data in a highly secure cloud environment

We're trusting the information of your clients with one of the largest internet companies in the world. That means their cloud hosting environment is fully equipped with custom-designed electronic access cards, alarms, vehicle access barriers, perimeter fencing, metal detectors, and biometrics. The data center floor features laser beam intrusion detection.

We're not making this up...they actually have laser beams helping to guard your data.

Your data is always encrypted

When your clients take notes or submit worksheets to our database, we encrypt that data.

And...on top of that, the entire database is encrypted by the cloud web host. So your client data has two layers of protection working on it.

Your files are encrypted and protected with tokens

All files you upload to Therapy Companion are also encrypted, visible only to your clients.

Viewing of the files also requires a complex token to be added to the URL (done automatically for you by us)...so even if somebody "guessed" the URL of a file, without a token the permission is denied.

Two factor authentication on the web server

In order for anybody to have access to the code we've written and stored in the cloud, they need to pass a two factor authentication.

So not only do they need to have a highly complex "key" on their computer (which is only stored at Therapy Companion), plus have the proper password, but they also need to respond to an electronic prompt that is sent to Therapy Companion owned devices.

Beyond that, our cloud host is also using a huge amount of safeties to block people from trying to "hack" the web server.
